Today i listerned to a book called the bantam and the soldier, we had to answer some questions.
Why was it called the Great War?
It was a war to end every war.
Why was the bantam alone?
Because all of the other bantams pecked her with there sharp beaks and they didn't share the food plus the farmer diden’t have enough room for the bamtams because he tried to save every single pet.
Why did the other soldiers tease Arthur?
Because he was home sick and he was afraied and shy. The other solders teased his quiet county ways.
What made Arthur call his bantam Bertha?
Because it was the name of his nease and he missed her.
What is a lucky mascot? Why do you think Bertha became their mascot?
A mascot is a teams good luck charm. Bertha was always there. A hen in the trench is worth five on the farm.
What did Bertha give the soldiers?
She privided one warm brown egg in the mornigs.
Betha gave the soldiers eggs for them because they feed her and made her get big and strong.
How do you know that she gave them this?
Because it said in the book that they helped her and she gave them one egg in the morning. A egg a day keeps the shellshock away.
Where did Arthur leave Bertha?
Arthur left Bertha in a field of poppies by a hedge at the farm. He also said after the war ‘thank you bertha you may now live in fredom and peace.’

ReplyDeleteI like how you have shared the question and the answer in different colours as it makes your work easy to follow. It may also be helpful next time if you post the link to the book.
